Journaling is encouraged! Each cabin has a story to tell. Below are just a few!
We had such a great time! I Love it here!
Lisa, Duane, Loren and Morgan Howell, MIFabulous! Awesome! We’ll be back!!! Jana and Laura Menomonie, WI
Our stay here was one to remember. My parents wanted me to experience the U.P. and Lake Superior and this place helped to achieve that. Thank You for everything and you can expect to see me and my parents again in the near future! Regards, Helene Grand Rapids, MI
4th time up here for our hiking trip, we had a blast as always, looking forward to next year! Thanks, Aaron and Tarah, Jake and Katie (3rd time) Adam and Katie (1st timers) Wisconsin Rapids, WI
Our second time here. The last trip was a blessing and so was this one. What a beautiful place to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. You have the perfect spot here on the lake! Michael and Leslie Grand Rapids,MI
The snow was great! Snowmobiling and skiing were awesome! Exploring the frozen shoreline was an adventure! Thank You Rick, Jeni and Karsten. You are wonderful hosts and truly enjoyed meeting you. Hope to be back next Winter. The Carlsons Scandia, MN
We had a wonderful time!!! This is such a beautiful place and it is hard to leave. Thank You! Thea and Family Pine City, MN
Hello everyone! I’m Joy Griffin and I’m here with my new Husband, Jason. We just got in at 11:00 last night. We drove all the way from Ft. Wayne, IN and were just married Saturday, June 17th. It was a beautiful trip all the way up here and we have already completely fell in love with these lodges. Rick and Jeni, you have thought of just about everything! Thank You soooo much for having us. We are looking forward to our next couple of days here! I am so glad I clicked on your website.
Well, we leave tomorrow and we’re trying to get ourselves ready for the long trip home.
We bought some nice souvenirs for our friends and family at the gift shop here in town. The people here have been very helpful and friendly and we’ve already started making plans to come back. We hope to catch the sunrise tomorrow at the Lake of the Clouds. The locals tell us it’s something we must see before we go. It’s been fun, thanks for the memories and I hope there are many more to come! Good night! Joy Ft. Wayne, IN
Day 1 Arrived today to beautiful weather. Hauled in our food and gear and took off for a short hike in the Porkies. No bugs and perfect conditions for a 5 mile hike. Day 2 Relaxed and played on the beach. My husband went fishing so, we had fresh brookies for dinner. Walked he Pinkerton Trail in the late p.m. which is only 5 miles and it takes you out to the lake. Day 3 Left at 6:30 am for a day of lake trout fishing. Rainy and gray in the a.m. but missed us on the lake. First time big lake fishing but my son was excited catching a 26” trout. Fresh fish again and a great day with Captain Al. Day 4 Headed down to see Copper Peak. Wow, what an outstanding view, once you forget about the fact you’re standing 24 stories in the air on metal grating. When you look down that first time, it’s a long way. If you have never gone, do it, we loved it! Took a drive out to Black River Harbor for lunch and waterfall viewing. The gorge was the best. Would love to see it in the Spring full of melting snow. Day 5 Time to head home. This is our fourth trip to Mountain View and our favorite place to stay. We have always come the end of June but are now planning a Fall trip with friends in the future. Thanks for a great week. Scott, Cindy and Aaron Horton, MI
What a beautiful place to stay and play! As a group of 3 families, all neighbors, from Lowell, MI, this was the perfect place to stay! So much to do and see, all close by to this wonderful resort! Beautiful beach! Be sure to walk it and check out the beautiful stones along the way. Check out Presque Isle Falls. Wear comfy shoes and take water along. It’s a gorgeous hike. If you Dirtbike/ATV take the Bill Nichols Trail. Just beautiful! We enjoyed our stay so very much! Thank you to our wonderful host and hostess for the great tips and information, as well as the wonderful company! We will see you again! Wierzbickis, Thompsons and Bowens Lowell, MI
We had such a great time in the lake and jumping into the waves!! We love this place. I think it’s so cool being out in the wilderness and seeing all the bear, deer and other animals. I ust can’t wait to come back next year with our dog. We never, ever want to head home when we’re having a great vacation at this place. Thanks again!
Abbey, Roy, Denise and Joseph Almont, MIGLORIOUS!!! Paul and Carol Lake Bluff, IL
Great place by the water. We had a wonderful weekend at The Music Festival and staying here. A great way and place to spend time with friends. Thanks, The Webers Mason, WI
This is our 3rd Labor Day long weekend we have spent at Mountain View. We keep adding days as we enjoy being here so very much. The hospitality of Rick and Jeni is First Class. They make us feel so welcome. The cabins, the setting, how beautiful, peaceful and this is nature at it’s best. We have spent some time each day hiking, the trails are wonderful. We have driven up to Copper Harbor and have enjoyed all the scenery on the way up and back-even had a bear cross Highway 26 in front of us. Thanks Rick and Jeni for making this such a great get-away for us! Joan and Jim Hudson, WI
Thank you for your hospitality. The cabin was like home for us! Without the work or the worries. A wonderful time- time to relax, refresh and renew- to to connect with God and Nature. This area is a slice of heaven. Looking around, hiking, swimming and wave crashing, one cannot help but be awed by God’s incredible, magnificent power and grace. We are so blessed. Thank you for all you do to make your cabins have the comforts of home. May God bless you with peace and happiness. Carl and Jeanette Senton, MI
Thank you again for your warm hospitality and great accommodations. We especially enjoyed the warm (hot) weather, swims and bonfires. God willing we will return again. The Aukees Holland, MI
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here which is much more than a motel. Warm sunshine, sandy beach, beautiful sunsets, even the rain was appreciated. The memories will warm our hearts as we endure the Central New York Winter in about 6 months. Cabin was very accommodating, no shortage of hot water and cool breezes through the open windows. Looking forward to another visit. Jack and LuEtta Syracuse, NY
Rick and Jeni are the perfect hosts. I don’t remember the last time I felt so welcome. These are the nicest cabins we’ve stayed at on the Great Lakes and we’ve stayed at a lot of places. We will definitely be back and we intend on staying longer. We enjoyed many of the Naturalist Activities in the park (the Astronomy Session is a must). This is beautiful country and the people are so friendly. I can’t decide if I want to tell everyone I know or keep it a secret so we can return to unchanged. We’ve all enjoyed ourselves. I wish we didn’t have to leave but, we will be back!
Debi, Pat, Kelsey and Hailey Omaha, NBDear Rick, Jeni and Family, We can’t possibly express to you what a wonderful time we had staying at your wonderful Lodge! You’re the BEST Host and Hostess that we have ever experienced. Just know that we will be back!! Thanks again. By the way, we loved the nightly firepits! Best wishes and if you ever come to Florida look us up. Regards, Kevin, Peggy and Ellen Land O’ Lakes, FL
We’ve had a lovely time here enjoying the scenery, hiking, biking and kayaking. The only problem being is our cabin is soooo comfy that we hardly wanted to leave. Everyone in the U.P. is so nice and we look forward to coming back soon. Melinda and Chuck Fallbrook, CA
Rick and Jeni were wonderful hosts! We enjoyed our “Long Talks” by the firepits each night. The highlite had to be the perfect sunset and the appearance of the Northern Lights on Saturday night. It just doesn’t get any better than that. The cabin was perfect- We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations.I experienced my first swim in Lake Superior. To think the water was warm enough for that! We loved the hikes and the waterfalls. You are truly blessed to have such a beautiful place. One of our favorites on Lake Superior. We will be back! Kathy and Duane Minneapolis, MN
We have had an amazing time here in the cabin, how can you not? Look at the view! It is absolutely amazing to look out the window and see the rolling waves crashing into the beach only feet away. The views from within the Porcupine Mountains was absolutely breathtaking and will be a view we will never forget. Everyday coming back from our excursions made it feel like we were coming home instead of going back to a hotel room, it was quite relaxing. We enjoyed dinner each night watching the sunset over the beach from our porch, which was amazing. The fires on the beach watching the stars each night was so relaxing and enjoyable. We could not believe the view that we were able to enjoy from our porch. We will definitely be back for more and this time, it will be for a longer stay. Chad and Tammy Chicago, IL
We loved our cabin! It felt just like home! It was clean, well organized and we had everything we needed. We loved being so close to “The Porkies”. We hiked Presque Isle which is a must, as is Summit Peak and Lake of the Clouds. The fire pit was great, we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the bright sunset and the sparkling stars. This place is truly beautiful and like no other place in Michigan. We would definitely like to come again soon for our short time here was very memorable. Thank you for the wonderful cabin, hospitality and the great view of Lake Superior. Russell and Lori Pinconning, MI
Dear Jeni and Rick, Thanks again for a great week of vacation! We always look forward to our stay because we know that no matter what the weather, we catch up on our rest, exercise and relaxation from stress. We love all those trails, which by now we know so well; they are different every year. We are always thrilled to see the eagles and Roscoe was so excited to see the 2 wolves. The cabin, as always, feels comfortable with all the amenities of home. All we need to do is settle in. What a treat for me to eat meals and look out on the lake watching the waves roll in, and the trees change color. I hope you have a great year and we’ll see you in 2007. Gisela Columbus, OH
Jeni and Rick, My Mom has written about her experiences here in the Porcupine Mountains and as I’ve shared many of them, I won’t repeat. Still the feeling f getting up at 7:30 (before dawn here) is great, as is the opportunity to see Bald Eagles circling over the cabins in the morning light. And the crows are always here to liven things up (and chase the eagles)! All in all it’s a great place to see birds and other wildlife- from garter snakes on the trails to goshawks flying along the escarpment. I hope others will write in this journal and share their feelings. Perhaps even a poem like the one that follows to commemorate my Dads wolf sighting.
The Wolves U.P. here
They come in two’s,
A Pack is formed,
From those they chose. One is dark and,
One is light,
They move like Ghosts,
Throughout the night. They hunt the deer,
The elk, the moose.
When food is low,
They’ll chase a goose.I’ve seen them once,
At dusk it’s true,
And if you look,
You’ll see one too.Kevin H. Columbus, OH
Except for a few rainy days during our 10 day visit here, the weather and temperature were excellent. One could hardly wih for anything more desirable. The cabin is in great condition and the view of Lake Superior and its frequent changes draws your attention. Walking along the highway M-107 leaves nothing to be desired. The speed of car traffic can be daunting. Though the Porkies are a superb attraction I had to confine my walks to the Nature Trail at the Visitors Center. As usual, I brought along some scholarly work to do. The quiet and amenities in our cabin allow undisturbed concentration. I recommend R&R at Mountain View Lodges.
Roscoe H. Columbus, OH
Thank you Jeni and Rick for another memorable stay at your beautiful Lodge. Truly a home away from home. Lake Superior is always beautiful, powerful, mesmerizing. The Lodge is full of the comforts of home, plus a fireplace. We’ve enjoyed weather from “Balmy September” to the “Winds of November” in less than a week. We appreciate what others have already noted: clean, beautifully maintained lodge, great view and sunsets, wonderful hospitality. Looking forward to returning! God bless you and your Family. David and Bernadette Midland, MI
We loved staying here! Only wished we hadn’t missed the colors, but we had Full-On Winter instead! We experienced 3 of 4 Seasons in our short weekend here but loved it all. Rick pointed us towards Presque Isle and Antonio's Restaurant in White Pine and both were excellent. He also told us about Summit Peak which thanks to our 4wd truck we could drive to regardless of the snow and what a view! This was a great way to celebrate our 9 year Anniversary. Cory and Stacy Brighton, MI
This place is adorable! I’ve never been this far North before. I skied for the first time and it was great! I walked away from the hill on my first day and that was a good day skiing! Of course I limped away but didn’t have to be carried off so, I consider it a success! I enjoyed great scenery, great food and great company. What more can you ask for? Thanks to Rick, we didn’t have to pay for a tow truck. Another story? I would love to see the beach when it’s not covered in snow! Maybe next time? Laura Canton, IL
We were here with family to ski the Porkies. It was our first taste of real Winter even though we are from Wisconsin. It was below zero with awesome snow squalls off the lake! We try to visit here several times during the year because we love the area. Hope to see you in the Fall!
Les and Cindy Reedsburg, WIThank you for the great visit! The cabin was wonderful and the scenery breathtaking! Michael and Suzie
I wish I could stay but, I can’t? Lindsey Ft. Wayne, IN
Thank you for the great vacation in the U.P. I will miss you Karsten. Stephanie, Ft. Wayne, IN
Thanks for everything. We had another wonderful visit-great memories of swimming, beachcombing, saw lots of wildlife! We enjoyed hiking in the Porkies. So many good things, too much to take in. Thanks Karsten for including the girls in your activities. Mike, Nancy, Sam and Connie
When you rent a cabin, you cross your fingersand hope for a clean place. You never expect the modern, comfortable new sort of place as Mountain View Lodges. We were so pleased with our cabin! This is heaven! We went to the State Park, climbed the mountains, took lots of pictures, and enjoyed it very much. I spent time on your lovely beach, enjoying sun and sand and surf. Two days? We packed in a lot in these 2 days. Brief but wonderful.
Thanks, John and Pat Rochester Hills, MIWe had a blast playing in the lake, looking at waterfalls and seeing the bears. This is the best vacation spot ever!
Thanks, Delaney, Ryan, Leo, Gina and LonnieHad fun staying here. Definitely a change from the City. I would recommend hiking the many trails to the waterfalls, and the Adventure Mine. All great fun! The Fitzpatricks Chicago, IL
As we arrived late Friday night we were welcomed by the owner, Rick. He was very nice and invited us down to the water for a fire. We were down there for 3 to 3-1/2 hours talking with Rick, his wife Jeni and a couple of their friends. Very friendly people. On Saturday, we stopped at the office and they gave us all the maps we needed along with all the great spots to go. We walked the Superior Trail out to Buckhorn Cabin. It was rough but it was worth the walk. We also went to Presque Isle and looked at all the excellent waterfalls there. We saw 3 deer as we were leaving. Along Hwy. 107, there was the biggest beaver dam that I have ever seen. As we were coming back here we also saw a 300-350 pound black bear on the side of the road. We took a lot of pictures, picked rocks on the beach. Walked along the beach and had the best weekend away from our 3 Daughters since 1999. We thank you so much for letting us stay here when everyone was closed. We had a lot of fun and we will return for sure.
Thanks again! Nick & Connie Rib Lake, WIOur stay here was exceptional, all if not most of the comforts of our own home. Rick, Jeni and Karsten make you feel like your part of the family. My they prosper for years with minimal frustration. Referrals will be made as long as we exist! Walt, Sue and Jacob
Thank you very much for sharing your place on the lake with us. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the screened porch area and listening to the wave sounds. It was very peaceful and relaxing to enjoy the sunset every evening.
Gerard & Darlene Valparaiso, INThank you for sharing your cabin with us. This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here and it has been a great experience both times. We brought family on this trip and they were very happy as well. The porch and beach are awesome and we really appreciate the hospitality! We hope to see you soon!
Dave, Steph, Bailey, Mike & Amber Valparaiso, IN Carole North Judson, IN
We spent a great 5 days here. Rick and Jeni are great hosts! This is our second time staying here. The Porkies have many great features to explore, check out the beach across the road from the Union Bay Outpost. It is very peaceful and beautiful up here. Hope to come back!
The Metcalfes Royal Oak, MIWe’ve lost count on the number of times we’ve been here, but it’s always the same when it’s time to leave, it’s hard to pull ourselves away from the relaxing, peaceful time we have experienced here.
Warren, Murriel & Family Menomonie, WI
We’re getting ready to leave this wonderful peaceful place. We loved the walks along Lake Superior and the sound of the surf at night. Thank you Rick and Jeni for a wonderful vacation. You’ve made us feel welcome.
We’ll be back! The Williams Green Bay, WI
First of all, thank you Rick and Jeni for everything. Your cabins are so beautiful and you have supplied them with everything anyone needs. Thank you for bringing us firewood every day! Our visit here was a snowmobile trip. On Saturday, when we arrived in the afternoon. We were so excited with the beauty of the lake views and cabin and taking pictures that we decided to wait until Sunday afternoon to ride. It started snowing Sunday morning and snowed until Tuesday morning. (5-6”) that’s a lot for us Indianans J We got ready and pulled our trailer down the road to the gas station to unload our sleds and get on the trail there. We rode 3 miles and Tim’s sled quit running and would not start back up? I towed him back to our trailer with the help of a couple of guys and got the sleds loaded back up. Discouraged, frustrated and very upset we dropped the trailer back at our cabin and went to Antonio's for lunch. We got back later that day and Rick was out working. After telling him what happened he recommended we call Joe at Tom’s Service Center. Tim called first thing Monday morning. We took our sleds to him to check them both out. By Tuesday afternoon Joe had Tim’s sled fixed and he treated us right! We hate to leave our cabin but it’s Wednesday and we need to head South. Thank you again Rick and Jeni for everything. You both are wonderful friends to know and we will be back next year! Tim and Helen Etna Green, IN
Oh so beautiful, comfortable and relaxing!!! Teri
Loved the cabin and the lake view! Everything was perfect and we hope to come back. Lui and Wauters Bayside, WI
The cabin and lake were truly “SUPERIOR” Already booked for next year! What a blessing this vacation was. Rick and Jeni are the perfect hosts. We will remember our stay for a lifetime. We’ll be back!
Blessings, Rick and Carolyn Baltimore, MD
What a beautiful place to spend a week! Having never been this far up into Michigan we weren’t quite sure what to expect but what a pleasant surprise. We arrived late Monday night to the sound of the lake lapping on the shore and our cabin was beautiful. Through the week we saw waterfalls, mountains, lakes and forests. Hiked trails, looked into a bears den saw bears at The end of the Rainbow Restaurant, swam in the lake and layed on the beach and in the evenings watched the most awesome sunsets. And we can’t forget the lighthouses we toured. They were so neat. Rick and Jeni were so helpful and directed us to so many places of interest and good eating places. We’ll definitely take many pictures and memories of Gods wonders with us to Ohio. Jim and Sharon Ashland, OH
What a wonderful week! Everyone said there’s nothing to do in the U.P. Boy, were we surprised!!! Plenty to do and the beauty of it is breathtaking! We’re from Ohio and we had a great time!! The Roells
t never fails to amaze us the surprises in store for us here. This has been our fourth stay here in cottage #103. We love the open view to the lake now! All the better to watch the storms cross the lake-who knew we’d see snow this time? There isn’t a better place to get away from it all! This continues to be a “Special Place” in our souls. See you next year!
William and Jan Battle Creek, MICelebrating our 1 year Anniversary here! We intend on coming back again next year. Rick and Jeni are great and so is the cabin! See you next year! David and Christine Stevens Point, WI
Gorgeous day! Arrived to walk the beach and later star-gazed the incredible night sky. Enjoyed a cozy fire-a wonderful stay and a great way to celebrate 40 years of marriage. We will recommend staying here to everyone.
Tom and Carol Milaca, MNThank you for the amazing experience! The cabin is cozy and inviting with all the comforts of home. Your hospitality and assistance were phenomenal. I will definitely recommend Mountain View Lodges to friends and come back again, myself! Thank You!!! Sheri DeForest, WI
Wow! All I really needed was a bed… and a good nights sleep. But, this was irresistible! We enjoyed walking on the beach and supper on the screen porch. The close proximity to the park is great! We came here to hike a bit. The ranger guided hikes are great! The sunset hike to Summit Paek was absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed the hikes to the West Overlook and Union Mine Trail. Those were both challenging enough for me yet brought us into some very awe-inspiring old growth hemlock forest. This whole area is definitely where I want to come back to again and again! M.J.
What a beautiful place! We (my Husband, 2 boxers and I) had an amazing time hiking in the park. The Lake of the Clouds hike was our favorite ~ very challenging on a hot day but worth it J The entire area was very pet friendly and that made a huge difference for us! Sunset walks on the beach and fires on the shore after dark were very memorable. Preparing meals while listening to the lake, s’mores by the water, and having a full kitchen were so fun. This area is just wonderful. We will be visiting here again.
Melissa, Jackson, Kirby and Dixie Watertown, MN
This place is great, I feel renewed and restored. It is so wonderful here. This is our 6th time coming up here.
We loved the cabin we stayed in and the owners are so nice, we really liked them. We’ve been here for 6 days and will be leaving tomorrow morning. I like know we will be coming back every Summer. Jill Manistee, MI
This is a great place! The cabins have a beautiful view of the lake. The fires on the beach, the sunsets and the woods combine to be a means of rejuvenation. Come for the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival. Great music, great setting and a lot of “Porkies Pride” Thanks to our hosts who were friendly and gracious. Be back soon and we’ll tell our friends.
Mary Okemos, MIOur first trip to the U.P. and Lake Superior and we couldn’t be more pleased. We camped at Sylvania Wilderness before coming here for a few days. Our cabin far exceeded our expectations and being right on the lake made Ursa (our Newfoundland) very happy! We hiked the Porkies and tried to fit in as much as we could during our very short stay. Ursa was welcomed everywhere we went, a wonderful change from so many “no pet” policies. We love the view of the lake, and the beach, and the trails… We’ll be back, no doubt about it! Steve, Sonja and Ursa West Chicago, IL
Beautiful scenery, Spectacular sunsets, Best Friends (Karsten), Quiet nights, Fishing for river trout, Blackflies, mosquitoes and everything that bites, Hint: Do not pack more than 5 pairs of shoes each! It seems to take up too much space! S'mores and popcorn on the fire, Bears, coyotes, fawns, does, bucks, beavers, squirrels, porcupines, fish bats and moths! Hiking at Bonanza Falls, Hiking the Presque Isle River Falls including Manido, Manabezo, and the one that begins with an “N”. Union Bay, Ice Cream, Bug bites, Swimming, Pictures with the family, Nicole's ear swelling up, Whitecaps and windy days, Rainy storms with black-outs, Campfires every night, Sunburns, softball, Sandcastles, Swing on the swings, Finding treasure, Sleeping in late, Nice owners, Great food outdoors, Sand everywhere, Much much more! Hope your vacation was as fun as ours!
The Porkies ROCK!!! The VerKuilens
The Pelyhes’ had a great time at Mountain View Lodges and the Porkies. The cabin on the lake was perfect and the owners were excellent hosts and very informative. We saw bears at the Lake of the Clouds, squirrels everywhere, and only one fish in our fish bucket. We enjoyed canoeing and swimming in front of the cabin and hiking trails in the park. We trust you will have just as much fun. We saw a doe and 2 fawns on the beach and the Northern Lights on our last night.
No Bears- No Northern Lights- No Fishing- No Hunting Just Peace and Quiet! The Boudas’
We had an absolutely fantastic time here at Mountain View Lodges! The cabin was beautiful and cozy. Just the thing for as they say in Star Trek “luxury-Minded Earthers” What a gorgeous view too! There's nothing like looking out the window at the water or jumping off the deck onto the beach. We saw lots of wildlife in and around the park. Bats too! Coyote, Grouse, Turtle, Snake, Eagles, Mergansers, Sap-Sucker, Red Squirrels, Dear sweet fawns, does and bucks, many many Warblers and so many Flickers that we stopped counting. The most wonderful hikes were on the Presque Isle River and the Little Carp River. The most inspiring waterfall was Bond Falls. Our hosts are sweet people, so kind and eager to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I choose this place to celebrate my 50th birthday… A timeless place to pass the marking of my time. I take great comfort in knowing all this beauty will still be here long after I’m gone. I hope Mountain View Lodges will be here for a long time yet to come… It’s the est vacation I’ve had in a long, long, time. My husband and I sincerely appreciated the fact that Rick and Jeni allowed us to bring our little dog “Sasha”. So few places allow pets. She had just as much fun as we did! Best Wishes! Kathy and Jeff
This is a magical place to be away from the world’s busy-ness, focusing on the simple things in life, and those you love. May your stay be as special as ours was. Joan and Pete
What an amazing time we had at Mountain View. Our second year here was even more wonderful than the first. Our girls are in love with this place and even our 9 hour drive doesn’t keep them from begging already to come back next year. The hikes in the park, the evenings in the water star gazing as well as the fun Ashley had with Karsten are memories that are part of our family story. Thanks so much! See you again! The Ernsts
Second trip up here for me after last September when I was out here visiting with my Aunt and Uncle. I love it out here because I feel so far away from the buzz and chaos of a city. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for a second time up here. I just love it at night because I’ve never been anywhere else where you can see all the stars so brightly. Well, home time today! I hope to be back soon!
Jo Sheffield, England
We have been here for a week having come up from Florida to enjoy the wintry weather and to snowmobile.
We brought with us our 6 year old Granddaughter and Daughter. We took her sledding everyday. We have experienced cloudy days, a beautiful snowy day, and a rainy day! Watched as a wintry mix pelted the glass facing beautiful Lake Superior. On New Years Day it was sunny and bright. The snow and the trees glistening. It was a great week to relax and enjoy God’s majesty and the beauty he has made for us. Thank you for being great hosts! Blessings, Jim and Family
